This is lovely, aching - somehow trying to find sanity and then preserve it.

The last line reminded me of my annual trip to my family temple. Long time back, i had stopped; my mother then came up with this innovation - she told me that the goddess appeared in her dream and said that your eldest is now mine - so basically i am rented to her by the goddess.

She then tells me that i have to go to the temple every year and offer a few kilos of rice and coconuts.

So thats what i visit the temple for - to pay off a debt. It's like annual instalment of faith.
