this project needs to be stopped before Konkan becomes just another sepia tinted memory. Everyone who has visited this beautiful place, paused for a while, soaked in its fantastic views and relished some fabulous food, needs to support the agitation. united they stand, their voice needs to be amplified, this beautiful part of our great state needs to be preserved. administration is resorting to its notices on the doors, nocturnal visits, stoppage of assembly. more tricks will follow.

an alternative development model more in synch with the environment and hand in hand with nature — horticulture, fruit processing, fishery, calibrated tourism is clearly being articulated. Folks of Konkan know what they need government is meant to serve the people — listen to them — create a development model which serves their interest. what we are experiencing is exactly the opposite- no service, deaf and a model which serves the interest of a few cronies.

govt pushes their troops forward, armed with sticks — to break the resolve of the protestors. folks in Konkan are meeting the challenge with resolute hearts, unflinchingly in the face of oppression. Join their clear united voice & say no to the refinery. govt should get that refinery to Mumbai. our politicians can then marvel at their handiwork every day as they go to work. Selfies can be taken with smoke of development billowing. someone can inaugurate it plinth wise.

get that flag ready
