morning walk

the walk begins
its dark
slowly but surely
light breaks

I see another storey
has been added
to the
newest gobbler of my sky
the crane awaits
its handler

the light accentuates
the hill still remaining
few clouds cover it
taking the shape
of the treeline

would have sent you a picture
but you see today
I walked without my phone
just figured how to
pair headphones & watch
one has to jettison something
to walk longer

kids await their bus
in disciplined queue
their bags,already so heavy
even they
are getting ready

Some lines written as i prepare for the MH leg of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi. Splitting my walks into two parts now — morning and evening — total of about 11kms now being done without a sweat. getting ready for the third week of november.
