An honest confession, I do not understand the technicalities of indian classical music, I cannot tell one raga from the other and I have no clue about the various gharanas.

Bhinna Sajda — a documentary on Kishori Amonkar is a must see. It brings about the most important attribute of a great artist. The ability to surrender yourself to your craft.

Indian classical so beautifully explained by Tai, even a neophyte like me could snatch a few bits. Her voice, tugs at your heartstrings, makes you weep and laugh, as if it were life itself finding an outlet.

Lesson: Immerse yourself to whatever it is that you seek to do, excellence is a matter of relentless and intense pursuit of a goal. And the best part, the journey is fun…
