Bharat Jodo Yatra -2

i look up
a pale blue sky
a few clouds
break free
from the clutches
of the concrete towers
there is a slight breeze
amid the suspicion
of impending rain
Dolly starts singing
round one done
Aretha joins in
more steps to go
the walk continues

my thoughts wander
to about a thousand
kilometers away
where the people of India
are singing their songs
and pouring their hearts out
assured of
a patient ear
a kind word
and a healing smile
the Yatra continues
