a notion of development which is not acceptable to the people it purports to be for, should be discarded. any idea which is not in synch with nature should be let go of. people who are revered as gods during election suddenly are looked as not knowing what is good for them.

this picture is so symbolic of how the present day administration treats its citizens/voters. Like subjects. Like slaves who have to do their bidding at all times. once in 5 years all they have to do is press the right button — sometimes even that is not required.

the brave ladies of Konkan are leading the fight forward. They will not back down. The government has pushed the can (literally) down the coast — desperate to get this project running. they failed before and they will fail again. I say again — bring the refinery to Mumbai we will have a great companion to Mahul. My city is lost anyway under the maze of development — read flyovers that make sense for a week at most, coastal roads that will lead to flooding surely — yeah we need more development — get us that petrochemical project.

and I must urge Jairam Ramesh and Kharge saheb to please step in. a clear position in favour of the protestors is required. They will need legal help, they will need support to run this protest till victory is achieved. we need to be there. and please narrate the story of the shoe salesman to our dear spokesperson Atul Londhe. suggest that a small team be made to check on other projects to assess whether they have actually met the objectives in terms of employment, environment impact and bring more such projects in the public view.

finally I request the chief minister of Maharashtra to stop this rush for destroying the one great patch of biodiversity that we are lucky to possess. Development in synch with nature is required. I hope the first thing you do after you return from your break is say #No_To_Barsu_Refinery
